TAGGING AND HARVESTING Queensland Native Plants are controlled by a tagging system, with each harvested plant requiring an official sequentially numbered tag to be purchased from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. This enables the origin of the plant to be traced through to the end user. Station Creek Tree Farm adheres strictly to these conditions. Additional legislation requires that from the beginning of 2006, Native Plants in Queensland will only able to be salvaged from land clearing operations, where they would otherwise be destroyed. | |
LOCATION, CARE and HANDLING Station Creek Tree Farm is ideally located within an hours drive from Brisbane transport terminals, air and sea ports. Plants for Export are packed into 20 foot and 40 foot sea containers. Aircraft containers are used for smaller quantities. Plants are always exported with the necessary Quarantine and Environment Documentation (Phytosanitary Certificate, CITES Export Permits etc). We use specialized equipment for the harvesting, preparation and loading of our plants. Whilst maximum container space is utilised, utmost care is taken to ensure our product arrives at its destination in the best possible condition.
